The All Stars Project, Inc. is a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to "promoting human development through the use of an innovative performance and development based model." The ASP creates educational and performing arts activities for tens of thousands of poor and minority young people. It sponsors community and experimental theatre, develops leadership training and pursues volunteer initiatives that build and strengthen communities.

You should look at this if you have kids, but also as an audience member generally. The performance programs open to the public are often moving, socially conscious and well worth seeing. A way for you both to reap the benfits of any good performance, while supporting a truly excellent cause.
