So you're recently divorced/separated and you've decided to get back into the dating scene. The only problem? You've got a kid. In a city that's becoming more and more child friendly every day, this one's easy to tackle. If you're making an afternoon of it, head to one of a plethora of city brunch places that love your kid–Kitchenette (in Tribeca or Harlem), Egg (Williamsburg), Good Enough to Eat (UWS), etc, etc. Stuff your kid and your date's face with eggs, pancakes, and buttermilk biscuits so fluffy, you'll be tearing them apart and smothering every piece with strawberry butter. It's probably a hot day, so head to the nearest theatre to cool down and catch Pixar's sweet new flick, Ratatouille. Witty, smart, entertaining, and of course, romantic you may just end up laughing more than your kid. Polish the afternoon off with a stroll along the Hudson River path, where your kid can run, free of cars.
