Every week until August 9th, a thursday is graced with a special set of live music bringing blue, jazz, hip-hop, and funk to the streets of Brooklyn. It may be a pain to get to from the city, but probably worth the free music in a new place. If you are already in the area, why not catch some Afro-Carribean influence in its greatest forms - MUSIC!
BAM brings this festival to the MetroTech Center, which is not where the Academy of Music is. (718-636-4100)
