Around the Clock

This super cheap diner is open–you guessed it–around the clock–so you can down chicken fingers or pancakes at all hours. Students flock here in droves for the goods, which are perfect for sopping up all that alcohol. The menu is standard diner with a few kicks; many of the sandwiches on the menu are named after New York things. Order up the Lafayette and you will be bestowed with a massive sandwich of grilled chicken breast, mozzarella, tomato and pesto on garlic bread. Craving tuna salad on a bagel? Order the Astor and it'll come right out. Around the Clock also offers a bar and a couple of TV's, so you can catch "the game" should you so desire.

8 Stuyvesant St between 3rd Ave and 9th St; 212-598-0402; 6 to Astor Pl.
