Miss Mamie's Spoonbread Too and Miss Maude's Spoonbread Too

Though the waitstaff at both spots can be a little flip, the food makes up for it. All entrees come with two sides and cornbread or sweet potato biscuits. We love the Southern Fried chicken ($13.95), with macaroni and cheese and string beans.

Though it is not mentioned on the menu, the restaurant will serve single pieces of entree items, so if all you want is one chicken leg, it's no problem. BBQ chicken, pan seared trout, meatloaf, ribs, and pork chop round out the menu. Other sides include collard greens, spinach, candied yams, freshly made french fries, blackeyed peas.

Dessert is hard to pass up here; we go ape for Miss Mamie's Signature Banana Pudding ($5) and Chocolate Layer Cake ($5).
