Brooklyn General Store

Owners Catherine Clark and Katie Metzger stock their Red Hook shop with colorful yarn and big piles of fabric to peruse. Socks, tights, hats, and other clothing and accessories are also available, as are knitting, sewing, and crochet essentials like pincushions and scissors. Knitting, crochet, and sewing classes are all offered; the appliqué and embroidery workshops give veteran knitters a chance to gussy up their pieces.
