100% of the profits from this lovely and altruistic bookstore and cafe go to Housing Works, a non-profit that provides services like job training, health care, and other services for homeless New Yorkers with HIV/AIDS. Rare books mingle with the new and used in a collection of 45,000.

The volunteer-run cafe has delicious baked-goods, season soup, coffee, tea, and a nice selection of beer and wine. Anyone interested in donating time, money, books, or any other help should contact the store or drop by.
