Heights Books

Next year will mark this Brooklyn Heights bookstore's 10th birthday, and it's one we're happy to celebrate. The Montague street shop stocks a huge selection of books–everything from art and design to science and religion. Page-hounds will gravitate towards Heights' bounty of rare, signed, and first-edition reads. Kids, tweens and teens are welcome here, where they have their own dedicated section. Bonus: Fido can tag along; the amiable and eager-to-help staff always have doggy treats.

109 Montague St between Henry and Hicks; 718-624-4876; 2, 3 to Clark St, 2, 3 to Borough Hall, or M, R to Court St–Borough Hall.
